NATURALLY PLUS FESTA at Yokohama Arena: "Do" (Action)
From the archive, September 14, 2012: a massive event held at Yokohama Arena.
I performed the opening act for "NATURALLY PLUS FESTA 2012."
10,000 Guests from Around the World
This annual event brought together approximately 10,000 people — not only from Japan, but also from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Indonesia, and the UK.
The energy of such an international audience was simply overwhelming.

"Do" (Action) — Now is the Time to Move
The theme of the event was "Now is the time to move."
In collaboration with the Wadaiko (Japanese drum) group "Taiko Lovers," I wrote the single character 「動」 (Do — Action/Move).
From stillness to motion, in sync with the beat of the drums.
I poured the energy of taking a step forward into one giant brushstroke.
My body still remembers the sensation of writing while the drums and the gaze of 10,000 people vibrated through me.

Writing for the Big Stage
In an arena, every stroke must be large, bold, and fast enough to reach the back rows — without losing the beauty of calligraphy itself.
Balancing "calligraphy as a show" with "the essence of Sho" is a theme of mine that was refined through stages like this one.
You can see more stage records on the PERFORMANCE page. For commissions for large-scale events, please feel free to contact me.
