Shinagawa East One Tower 10th Anniversary: "En" & "Ai" with Violin and Saxophone
From the archive, May 20, 2013: looking back on a milestone celebration in Shinagawa.
I was invited to perform at the 10th Anniversary Event of Shinagawa East One Tower, in the spacious entrance hall on the 2nd floor.

Celebrating Shinagawa East One Tower's 10th Anniversary
The venue was the 2nd-floor entrance hall of Shinagawa East One Tower, near the Konan exit of Shinagawa Station.
In that open, spacious hall, I had the honor of standing on a stage marking the tower's 10th anniversary.
Calligraphy x Violin x Saxophone
This performance was a special collaboration with Western instruments.
- Natsumi Okimasu (Violinist)
- Norihiko Hibino (Saxophonist)
Accompanied by their beautiful and soulful melodies, I performed live calligraphy, blending the elegance of music with the dynamism of the brush and adding a touch of "Japanese" color to an urban office tower.

"En" (Connection) and "Ai" (Love), with Dancing Cherry Blossoms
On stage I created two large works: 「縁」 (En — Connection) and 「愛」 (Ai — Love).
From each character I painted cherry blossom branches (Sakura), with petals dancing in the air.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary and the blooming of new relationships, I wished for good connections and love to keep being born in this place.

Works That Remain in the Entrance
The completed works were to be displayed in the 2nd-floor entrance hall for a limited time.
I hope the many visitors to Shinagawa will see them, and feel the spirit of connection and love.
Records of calligraphy performances, including collaborations with music, are gathered on the PERFORMANCE page.
