Recruit Holdings Kick-off Party: "We are one"
From the archive, March 21, 2014: looking back at a major corporate event. I was invited as a guest performer for the Kick-off Party of Recruit Holdings Co., Ltd., held at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo.

Opening Act with Wadaiko
To set the tone for the event, I performed the opening act in collaboration with a Wadaiko (Japanese Drum) performance. The powerful beats and dynamic brushstrokes created an energetic atmosphere to unite everyone in the room.
"We are one" - Beyond Kanji
The phrase I wrote on the large canvas was "We are one."
While Shodo is traditionally associated with Kanji characters, I sometimes take on the challenge of writing in the Roman alphabet to best convey the message. I poured my spirit into these English words, wishing for all employees to unite their hearts and move forward together as one team.
Completed by Everyone
The performance didn't end with my writing. After the show, the attendees participated by writing their own goals and resolutions in the blank spaces around the main calligraphy.

It was a touching moment to see the artwork being truly "completed" by the hands of everyone present, embodying the message of "We are one."
Giving Form to a Single Work, Together
Rather than being finished by the writer alone, the piece was completed by the hands of everyone present. It was a stage that showed how calligraphy can connect people and unite the feelings of a team as one.
Records of performances at corporate events and kick-offs are gathered on the PERFORMANCE page.
