From the archive, April 2, 2016: a calligraphy performance and advertisement title work at "Marugoto Nippon" in Asakusa, one of Tokyo's most traditional districts.

Located at the Asakusa Rock Broadway entrance, this commercial facility showcases regional specialties from all over Japan. I was invited as a guest performer for one of its events.

Calligraphy Performance in Asakusa

On stage, I performed a dynamic calligraphy session centered on the character 「縁」 (En – Connection).

To celebrate the season, I painted cherry blossoms (sakura) dancing in the wind alongside the calligraphy, adding the message: "Thoughts of hometowns, dancing cherry blossoms, gathering in Asakusa."

The completed artwork was displayed on the 3rd floor of the facility until the end of April, where many visitors were able to enjoy it.

Title Calligraphy for Posters and TV Commercials

Beyond the performance, I also provided the title calligraphy for the facility's promotional materials.

My brushwork for "En" (縁) was featured on posters displayed throughout the city, hanging advertisements inside trains, and TV commercials aired from April 25 to May 3, 2016.

Connecting People in the Heart of Asakusa

It was a joy to see my calligraphy connecting people and regions in the heart of Asakusa, expanding from the stage into the city itself.

You can find more of my performance work on the PERFORMANCE page.
