インテックス大阪のレセプションで書道パフォーマンスを行う矢部澄翔

From the archive, April 2014: an opening performance at the reception party for the "INTERMOLD 2014 / Metal Press Processing Technology Exhibition", held at INTEX Osaka.

This large-scale industrial exhibition gathered engineers and companies who support Japanese manufacturing, and I had the honor of taking the stage at its lively reception.

Calligraphy Performance at the Metal Press Exhibition Reception

On the main stage, I performed a live calligraphy session accompanied by the traditional sounds of shamisen and shinobue (Japanese flute).

Surrounded by the tones of these instruments, I wrote on two massive panels prepared for the occasion, each carrying a different wish.

"Takumi" and "Hisho" on Two Panels

On the first panel, I wrote 「匠」 (Takumi – Artisan/Mastery), dedicated to the master craftsmanship and advanced technology gathered at the exhibition.

On the second, I wrote 「飛翔」 (Hisho – Soaring), wishing for the industry's further leap and success on the global stage.

Beside the characters for "Hisho," I painted dynamic cherry blossom (sakura) branches in full bloom.

Bringing the Japanese Spirit to the Cutting Edge

At a venue dedicated to technological innovation, calligraphy, painting, and traditional music came together as one expression of Japanese beauty.

It was a privilege to share the spirit of Japanese culture with so many experts and industry leaders.
